Hair Removal - Pre Treatment

A complimentary consultation must be done before any laser treatment is booked or performed.

  • Arrive to your appointment with clean skin on the area to be treated. Do not apply makeup, creams, oils, deodorant to the area to be treated.

  • The area to be treated must be clean-shaven 24-hours before your appointment. Unshaven clients will need to be rescheduled.

  • Avoid UV exposure 7 days prior to your treatment. Clients who are sunburned must wait 2 weeks before being treated to avoid additional skin damage.

  • Avoid sunless tanning products 7 days prior to your treatment. It is recommended that you exfoliate the area to remove any residual color.

  • Refrain from waxing, tweezing, threading, sugaring, or chemical epilation for hair removal 6 weeks prior to treatment.

  • if you have a history of hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin) with laser treatments or other trauma, please let us know.
    • You may notice redness, swelling, itching and/or burning sensations for few minutes up to 48 hours.

    • Do not wear tight, constricting clothing in the treated area as irritation can occur and skin cannot cool properly.
    •
    • Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for 1 week following treatment. Wear a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily.

    • Avoid soaking for 24 – 48 hours. No hot tubs, whirlpools, saunas or baths. Showers are okay. Wash gently, mild soap and pat dry softly.

    • Do no wax or pluck any hairs between treatment sessions. Shaving or trimming is ok.

    • Anywhere from 5 – 14 days after the treatment, shedding of the hair may occur and this may appear as new hair growth.  This is not new hair growth, but dead hair pushing its way out of the follicle.  You can help the hairs exfoliate by taking a hot shower and rubbing with a washcloth or loofah sponge.

  • Your may exfoliate lightly with a loofah sponge in the shower, or with a soft washcloth when you get out of the shower, s long as your skin is not sore or irritated. You may experience itching and/or prickling sensations when this occurs.

"Beauty is in the skin! Take care of it, oil it, clean it, scrub it, perfume it, and put on your best clothes, even if there is no special occasion, and you'll feel like a queen."

About Daniela

When I was a teenager, I was intrigued with skincare from a neighbor who was selling skincare from a large international beauty company.  Many of our Mothers and Grand Mothers knew this company well, purchasing their perfumes, lipsticks, and skin creams.

I have many years working in customer service, finance and an entrepreneur. I previously owned a spa in Edmonton.  This is when I discovered more about the different types of lasers and skincare treatments. I had a great team of women and we grew and opened a second location. Today, I have a home studio doing gel nails of nine years, trained in Sugaring and now decided to offer laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation.
